     After nearly 30 years in corporate insurance, I packed up my desk, traded claim files for leashes, and took a leap of faith into a business built around compassion—for both pets and the people who love them.  I didn't buy an established pet sitting business or inherit someone else's way of doing things. I started from scratch, handling every visit myself.  Every dog walk, every medication, every worried phone call, and every joyful reunion taught me what families value most.  Those experiences became the foundation of Nonie's Pet Care and the standards we continue to follow today. 

 

     But my love for animals began long before Nonie's.  As a child, I survived a serious dog attack that required multiple reconstructive surgeries. Surprisingly, that experience didn't create fear. Instead, it gave me an even deeper desire to understand animals, respect their behavior, and appreciate the incredible trust they place in us.  Nonie's Pet Care wasn't built because I wanted to own a business. It was built from a lifelong love of animals and a belief that pets are happiest, safest, and most comfortable in their own homes. 

 

     Since founding Nonie's in 2011, I've had the privilege of caring for hundreds of pets and earning the trust of their families throughout the Greater New Orleans and Metairie area. Along the way, we've grown into an experienced team of compassionate pet care professionals, including experienced and dedicated Vet Techs who provide advanced in-home medical care for pets with specialized needs, always following the instructions of your Veterinarian. 

 

     Over the years, I've also opened my home and heart to animals that needed a second chance. Those experiences reinforced what I had learned from the very beginning: every animal deserves patience, kindness, and to be treated with dignity.  Today, every member of the Nonie's team shares the same philosophy. Whether we're taking a healthy puppy for a walk, caring for a senior cat, or providing advanced medical care to a pet recovering from surgery, our commitment is the same.  We treat every pet as if they were our own, while giving their families the peace of mind they deserve.
